The Story

In a 5 year period I went through a big change from working several part-time jobs at the same time, was miserable and wasn’t able to build a financially safety for my future. Yes - I wasn’t even making enough money to put extra to my savings despite being a hard-working woman. Being stressed, annoyed and constantly exhausted - I felt my life was stagnating.
I had enough - said ‘fuck it’ and started reframing everything.

In a span of 5 years - I have now:
Educational
  • Achieved my degree in finance
  • Established my tattoo educational framework after burnout due to a toxic tattoo business.
  • Achieved my degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Completed specializations in Data Analytics, Cybersecurity and Deep Learning / Machine learning

Experiences and projects
  • Created my first MVP, which aimed to reduce tattoo artists’ anxiety about regulatory oversight in Denmark.
  • Based my bachelors on how to create value for the tattoo industry.
  • Created an alternative and cheaper ink registration service for tattoo studios.
  • Reframed parts my prototypes and created the ‘Custom System’ service.
  • Collaborated with several tattoo artists around the work regarding business development.
Physical and mental health
  • Set my foundational building blocks; Value, mindset and boundaries.
  • Adressed my trauma and actively work with it.
  • Worked on my physical health and gotten in the best shape of my life.
  • Established financial literacy and set tight financial strategy - bringing me mental peace about my finances.

Passion
  • Returned to the tattooing field after burnout and collaborate with artists in Denmark.
  • Rekindled my love for art and connect with my clients on a deeper level.
  • Build my artistic portfolio as a tattoo artist without having to compromise my mental health.
  • Building my business by using knowledge as my key ressource.

If I did not build on my foundational building blocks first - values and vision, must-haves, and deal-breakers - I wouldn't have been able to come this far and work with my fantastic clients.
That is why I use the individual approach to secure the best tools corresponding to each client needs, values and story.

The individual approach is more abstract than you think.

You’ve heard it before:
“Everyone is unique”
It’s true, since not everyone is alike. We go through different things during our lives and we wouldn’t be able to meet someone, who’s 100% alike us regarding experiences, feelings, childhood, etc.
And no one is better at explaining their own experience than my clients.

Tilja.tattoo

Meet our first early adopter, Tilja from Sweden.
When testing the mentorship concept, I reached out to a Facebook group for female tattoo artists in hope for someone, who would love to try out my project.
Tilja, a lovely tattoo artist from Sweden, was struggling with insecurity, was very unsure about her choices and was endlessly stressed. After a not-up-to-par apprenticeship with a jealous master, she chose to take her tattooing career in her own hands and left the toxicity to start her own adventure.
She wanted to push herself by trying out new things, which was why she reached out to my post in the group.
In the very first consultation, it was clear to me she struggled not only to trust her own process, but also to connect with herself and her 'why'.
After a few sessions, she bloomed into a more calm and confident tattoo artist , who I am proud of today.

Here's what she wrote about the project:
"When I got in touch with Valkyria, I had issues with planning my everyday schedule, both work and life-wise. I also had no confidence in my work and choice of profession as a tattoo artist.
We started working on how to build my confidence, looking into my past and present to figure out where the problem was rooted. We found ways for me to build my confidence, and that has helped me tremendously.
After that, we could start working on my planning. I was constantly on the edge of finishing stencils and other things on deadline. I kept all the things I needed to remember and do in my head, which created unnecessary stress and anxiety.
Valkyria showed me something called the Eisenhower matrix and introduced me to a book called The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. We went through these throughout the process.
I read some chapters between our meetings, and then we talked about them. We analysed them together to make sure that I knew how to use that way of thinking for the problems I felt I had in my everyday life.
The best thing about the things we talked about and the things I learned is that I can use the knowledge on my own. I can look back and remember how to use something by myself. They didn’t just help me then and there; the tricks and tips are useful still and will be in the future. Because it adapts to where I am right now. That way of thinking makes me be able to continuously become better.
But I think the best thing about the whole process was Valkyria. She saw me, and my problems clear as day. I felt so seen and heard. She is so kind, smart, and genuine, and we got a connection very quickly. She was very easy to talk to and open up to, which made this kind of process a hundred times easier. I am so grateful to have gone through this process with her."

Bewitch_Ink

Another lovely tattoo artist, Inga, resides in Denmark and was also one of the earliest adopters from the same group as Tilja.
She struggled with focus and too many ideas at the same time. Therefore we focused on creating a system that worked with her and helped her keep track on her wins and ideas, and much more.
Here's what she wrote about the service she received:
"The service I’ve got and keep getting is amazing. I’ve got help in creating a system for tracking things I need, and I was explained every little detail in there.
Valkyria is sweet, understanding and professional. Great tattoo branch understanding and artistic experience makes her services special, it’s hard or even impossible to find anything similar to what she offers. She’s ready to share her knowledge and if there’s something that she doesn’t know answer to, she’ll do her research and give you the answer next time. But for sure, you will get it.
If there’s anything you’re missing in your tattoo practice set up , or you feel like you don’t have ‘a system’ but no one else will understand what you need, or just want to improve it, I would highly recommend to give this service a try!"

From rigid to flexible - creating a system that grows with the user

When working on my bachelor's thesis regarding issues within the tattooing industry in Denmark - and I saw an opportunity.
Some artists told me about how they found the current ink registration solutions to be very stiff and not flexible enough - especially when it came to the features within and it's fixed price. When a new feature was proposed - the company either shot down the idea for the feature or never tried to integrate the feature.
I wanted to explore this and found a way to create a flexible and changeable system that would stay effective from down to the very basics needs to bigger features in a grand system.
After trial and error - and multiple changes and retest - I began to be able to check the points I wanted the system to be able to do.
Now I use it for when I'm tattooing my clients and there are no other solutions that can compete with what I've created (in my mind anyway).
With a highly customizable system - I can help you get the same control of your solutions.
Alongside the custom systems - the SDS-Portal was created as well.
